Adidas introduced a sock shoe called Crazy Explosive which gained fame when worn by Nick Young, an American basketball player. Basically, these shoes are just socks with a rubber sole and the trademark Addidas logo. The laces on these shoes are knit a bit differently and as they are just to secure the shoe rather than the person's foot in the shoe. They are beautifully cushioned and do not lack in terms of performance. Another basketball based Snocker was released by Under Armour called Curry 4s. These have been extremely popular but the most popular has been LeBron James’s version of Nike sneakers. When it comes to more casual Snockers, they are built more for their looks and thus are extremely animalistic compared to their basketball counterparts. This means that they appear to be more sock-like that the other. Kanye West is known for bringing in new and innovative designs and his Primeknit Yeezy Boosts are true representations of what fashion snickers are like. Another sock sneaker extremely popular these days, been worn by many celebrities, is Balenicaga’s Speed Trainers. Famous companies have made shoes like Reebok’s Supreme Ultraknit, Tubular Doom Primeknit, Adidas’s City Sock, and more. Companies like Zara have also come with their line of sock sneakers which are a mix of the Balenciaga and Fendi design. All in all, it is safe to say that even if these sneakers don't get recognition many years from now, its basketball counterparts, which were the original models, will always remain special. This is because of the amount of technology that went into making them and it still is. Sock sneakers can be a great addition to someone's shoe collection and if the fashion industry is moving as fast as it is, it is high time we accept that these lace and tongueless sneakers are just a part of the natural fashion transformation. It’s high time we accept Snockers!
